Barça Ready for First Fixture at Partially Completed Camp Nou over the weekend

The club confirmed they will play at the renovated but unfinished Camp Nou on Saturday. Athletic Bilbao will visit the Basque side in domestic competition 30 months following their departure for construction to commence.

Not all seats will be available though over 45,000 attendees can be present under the licence granted. When completed, it will accommodate close to 105,000 fans, up from the previous 99,000. Officials confirmed finished work included a new players’ tunnel plus modern locker rooms.

Recent Activities

Barcelona held a public practice at the Camp Nou on 7 November. They mentioned they were hoping for permission from European football’s governing body to host the next European match versus the German side on 9 December at Camp Nou. Previous fixtures took place in the temporary ground.
